Isn’t it amazing how one could be known just from a single letter? Well, George W. Bush is the probably the only man in history to be associated with W. Unfortunately, I think it’s because he’s managed to be considered the maybe the worst president of the 20th and, who knows, the 21st Century. I guess our children or grandchildren will determine that. W. has managed to even turn the most conservative candidates against him and probably will cost John McCain the election. I think most people could guess our politics here at T.I.L Darling because we’re part of the fashion industry, but I’m pretty sure the McCain would have won if W. hadn’t done what he did.
To “commemorate” W.’s presidency and conveniently released right around the November Presidential Election, Oliver Stone’s “W.” premiered last night. The biopic star Josh Brolin as W. and Elizabeth Banks as Laura Bush. Isn’t it great how Elizabeth Banks can star in such a serious role, while also taking on roles in Meet Dave and Zack and Miri Make a Porno, which we’re all waiting for since we’re all big Seth Rogan fans (though we would never want to see him in a porno).
I haven’t seen W., but I’m sure Democrats will love it and Republicans will hate it. But, from what I heard, Stone was actually being “nice” and just trying to follow what has been documented about W.
