“Total Request Live” had is three hour finale last nigh in Times Square. TRL aired for 10 years before last night. ABC News calls “TRL” a contribution “to the identity of a generation.” A fan called it “an end of and era.”

For myself and I am technically part of that generation, but I never watched a full episode. I was never interested in a single song they played on “TRL.”

Taylor Swift, Joe’s ex-girlfriend, has been blasting Joe over his 27-second break-up phone call and told Us Magazine that he cheated on her for Camilla Belle, who was in the movie 10,000 B.C. and in the Jonas Brother’s “lovebug” video. For some reason, all the Jonas Brothers, with a more personal message from Joe, finally responded:

To Our Fans from Joe, Kevin and Nick:

It is our normal rule to avoid talking about our private lives. It seems that it has come to the point where we must address a few things. We would prefer to address these things and then leave it alone from that point forward.

We felt like it was important to respond because recent events have affected our fans. It is important to us as artists and brothers to enlighten regarding this situation. Our fans are the most important thing to us.

There are rumors and suggestions that are being publicized in the press right now about us. Like all people our age we are trying to find someone special that we can share time with in our busy lives. We all have busy schedules and high demands. We love our life and are thankful for all that we have. We are simply stating that it is difficult to maintain relationships with the kind of life we live.

We love our fans and it is important to us to protect that relationship.

To Our Fans from Joe:

This blog is not an attack of anyone. Anytime you are in a relationship for any length of time there are going to be issues. Sometimes they resolve. Other times they lead to a change of heart. This was the case recently.

Several things I will state with all my heart

I never cheated on a girlfriend. It might make someone feel better to assume or imply I have been unfaithful but it is simply not true. Maybe there were reasons for a breakup. Maybe the heart moved on. Perhaps feelings changed. I am truly saddened that anything would potentially cause you to think less of me.

For those who have expressed concern over the “27 second” phone call. I called to discuss feelings with the other person. Those feelings were obviously not well received. I did not end the conversation. Someone else did. Phone calls can only last as long as the person on the other end of the line is willing to talk. A phone call can be pretty short when someone else ends the call. The only difference in this conversation was that I shared something the other person did not want to hear.

There were later attempts at communication that had no response.

I wish the best for the other person but could not sit back any longer and leave our fans with a wrong impression of the truth.

Pretty interesting choice of words. My theory, Joe was “hanging out” with Belle while he was still dating Swift. Is that cheating? It’s not that I like the Jonas Brothers, I actually haven’t heard more than one song from them, but I am going with a “no.” Belle and Joe met on the set of “lovebug,” which filmed around September 19th of this year. The news about the Swift/Jonas break-up surfaced on Oct. 8th. Okay, I think he was still dating Swift while he figured out his feeling for Swift, but come on, it’s only about a two week difference. Of course, this is assuming he and Belle did not get intimate with each other, otherwise he’s a lying cheating jerk. Otherwise, it seems like for a couple of weeks, he took the time to figure out his feels for Belle and once he did, he did the right thing and told Swift. There really isn’t any better way to do it. He can’t help it if his feelings changed. It’s better he break-up with Swift than actually really really cheat.

During an interview with Ryan Secrest, Taylor Swift implied that one of the reasons that led to her break up with Joe Jonas was his management’s influence on his personal life. From what I have read, the Jonas Brothers are managed by Johnny Wright. Nonetheless, I can’t help but think his management is essentially their father, Kevin Jonas Sr., a co-founder of Christ For The Nation’s Music and a pastor at their local church in Wyckoff, N.J.

In Swift’s interview with Secrest, when asked what she is looking for in a boyfriend, she said, “If someone doesn’t think my sense of humor is funny, that can be a wrong match.”

“If they’re not allowed to go in public with me [because their management feels they're too much of a sex symbol] … that’s an issue too.”

I definitely believe what Swift is saying is true. It actually took me a little bit of time to find a photo of the couple together. I really think there is only one or two circulating on the Internet.

What I cannot believe is that a 19 year old Joe Jonas would actually follow his management’s advice. I guess it’s just because I didn’t listen to my mom at all about personal relationships. I suppose I am just skeptical how someone his age could be so obedient to such advice. He’s 19 years old!!!

Also, it seems slightly hypocritical since Joe Jonas is somewhat of a sex symbol himself. Let’s put it this way, you do not see teenage boys screaming for him. You can put him in the “teen heart throb” status, but that’s still pretty much a sex symbol.
