The star designer of Hermes, Jean-Paul Gaultier, 2009 Spring/Summer collection is described as “cowboy chic.” FYI, Hermes started out as saddle maker.
If people do not catch on to this trend next year, I will be hugely disappointed.

I think it’s hard for people to make an unbiased opinion about Lauren Conrad’s Spring 2009 collection. First, there are those who are just jealous of the Hills star. Why wouldn’t you be? She has a blessed, but fictional, life. Second, there are those who just love the star because of her “character” on the Hills. Well, I do not watch the Hills, so I feel somewhat unbiased in the situation.
So, here is my professional opinion about her new line. It’s OK. Nothing special, but not outstanding or horrible. I would actually say that I’m slightly more positive than negative because most of her designs are actually ready-to-wear by the mass market, rather than most designs on the runway that have to be adapted by the mass market. I can imagine most people wearing Lauren Conrad’s line, though most people wouldn’t think it was really designer clothing.
I was interested in writing a blog about music artists and their fashion lines. You know, to kind of hit two birds with one stone, though I would never condone hitting a bird with a stone. Maybe some rude people, but never a bird. Instead, I came upon this picture.
I dare you to say that William Rast designer and close friend of Justin Timberlake, Trace Ayala (Far Right), does not look like a cross between Pauly Shore and Patrick Dempsey. I’m not saying he always looks like that, but just in this particular picture. I think the hair is very Pauly Shore, but the face structure is very Patrick Dempsey.
Anyway, congratulations to William Rast for their Spring 2009 collection. I’m not sure if you’ve seen the promo photo for William Rast with Justin Timberlake and model Erin Wasson. I think they’re super cool.
When I first saw this trend, I was a little hesitant. You have to understand, for the most part when a buyer is looking for new items, it’s not prominently displayed on a beautiful model, but just on your basic clothes hanger. Now, seeing on these models, this trend is going to be super hot. The T.I.L. Darling Clothing Boutique will definitely be up and running next Spring and I can guarantee you we’ll be carrying Off Shoulder Dresses
