Don’t get me wrong, I think the one-shoulder dress is a great trend, but I am very skeptical that this trend will last until the Spring/Summer 2009 season. I am making a fashion scrapbook, which will be available very soon, that showcases just a few of the designers who displayed their one-shoulder dresses at all the fashion weeks. Nonetheless, there are currently so many celebrities wearing the one-shoulder dress on the red carpet that I feel that it will lose its appeal by the Spring 2009 season. Will T.I.L. Darling Clothing Boutique be holding the one-shoulder dress this Spring? Yeah, of course, but I’m pretty sure we’ll be wary about the number of them we hold.

This post is for the hardcore fashion lovers.

The De Young Museum in San Francisco is hosting the Yves Saint Laurent exhibition, its only stop in the U.S. You can find more than 120 of the designer’s haute couture pieces. The work presents over 40 years of work, from his time at Dior to the final Spring/Summer 2002 collection.

YSL has been known for revolutionary pieces such as the first tuxedo for women (dubbed “le smoking”) in 1966 and introducing multicultural kimonos, Indian tunics and African prints into the mainstream.

Here are photos from the the De Young Museum opening.
