People can rarely imagine today of how Louis Vuitton used to be a conservative brand before Marc Jacob stepped in and made it to be one of the most popular luxurious brand in the world. It’s Japanese Pop Art Master, Takashi Murakami, who helped Marc Jacob transform Louis Vuitton. Their cooperation was celebrated at Guggenheim museum in Bibao, Spain, from now until end of May. This exhibition is a complete collection of Murakami in the last 10 years including his Louis Vuitton collection since 2003. “Our cooperation has created several collections and inspirations to a lot of people” Marc Jacob commented. “It’s a highly important impression of a wedding between art and commercial”. Murakami’s drawings, sculptures as well as movies are exhibited next to all of his collections for Louis Vuitton, ranging from the first collection to the latest one, “Monogramoflage”, last year.
