Patrick Swayze and Wife Lisa

Patrick Swayze admitted himself to the hospital for observation after contracting pneumonia.

Robert DeBitetto, A&E’s programming senior vice president, told reporters:

“Patrick has asked that I tell you that this morning he checked himself into the hospital for observation,” said DeBitetto. “Chemotherapy can take its toll on the immune system, and illnesses are a part of that. Patrick wishes me to tell you that he’s very sorry he cannot attend, but plans to get back to promoting ‘The Beast’ soon.”

“The Beast” premieres Jan. 15, where Swayze plays an FBI veteran who trains a rookie partner played by Travis Fimmel. Producers said they found out Swayze had cancer four hours after learning A&E had picked up the series. The first season has already been filmed and hopefully Swayze will be able to continue.

Matthew Broderick and Sarah Jessica Parker

This is all unconfirmed, but Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick may be ready to split up. The tabloids have been reporting that Parker is ready to move out of their family home.

Star Magazine reported back in August that Broderick, 46, had an affair with a much younger woman. The couple did not make a comment and kept up appearances.

But now, Star Magazine claims that after trying to save their marriage of 11-years, they are ready to call it quits. An insider said, “Sarah Jessica is determined to get her own place and bring down the curtains on her marriage.

“They’re essentially living separate lives.

“The truth is, Sarah and Matthew still do love and care about each other, they just aren’t in love, and they don’t want to waste any more time trying to repair something that’s irreparable.”
