If you’ve been following our blog, I’m in total support of the rock star trend. There is one designer who has dedicated her entire Spring/Summer 2009 Season to what she calls “ethnic rock.” What is there to say about Sirivannavari? Well, she is a Thai Princess!!!

Ahh!!! How could I have missed this story???

Gucci is being investigated as part of a spy scandal where phones of various politicians, bankers, entrepreneurs, journalists and celebrities were wiretapped. The investigation was initiated after it was discovered that the Ministry of Interior’s data bank had been accessed illegally. The Prosecutor’s Office in Florence confirmed that Gucci’s offices in Milan and Rome had been searched.

Thus far, Gucci’s former head of security, Carlo Del Bo, is one of seven who have been arrested as a result of this investigation. Alessandra Facchinetti, Gucci’s former head of womenswear, has also been named a victim of wire tapping. It has been speculated by Italian daily La Republica that her phone was being tapped as she was negotiating her contract to leave Miu Miu early for Gucci.

You have to admit, this is more exciting than the one-shoulder dress.
