On October 9th, Jessica Simpson’s movie “Major Movie Star” premiered at the top of the box office in Russia. A person involved in the production described the movies as, “maybe one of the worst films ever made.” Its next premier will be in Bulgaria.

There is no U.S. release date set, particularly for any other country in which English is the primary language.

Update: In the U.S., the movie will be going straight to DVD as “Private Valentine: Blonde & Dangerous.” Question: Why do they have to change the title???

The star designer of Hermes, Jean-Paul Gaultier, 2009 Spring/Summer collection is described as “cowboy chic.” FYI, Hermes started out as saddle maker.

If people do not catch on to this trend next year, I will be hugely disappointed.

Japanese designer, Chie Imai, and her daughter, Chiaki, presented on October 28th their 2008-2009 Royal Chie of fur designs. Stars at the show included Spike Lee and Tonya Lee Lewis, Ivanka Trump and her brother Donald Trump, and model Irina Panteava.

Chie’s coats still are made from chinchilla fur from Finland, but also uses recycled fabric made from used polyester by Japanese chemical company Teijin Limited. In 2005, Teijin partnered with Patagonia to take used polyester linings of their coats to create a recycled fabric for the sporting company’s line. The fabric is waterproof and breathable.

Imai wanted to design a line for customers who wanted to participate in the “green” movement.

FYI, the pelt of chinchillas is relatively small, so many must be killed to make a single coat. This led to the extinction to the extinction of one of the species and put two others in danger. Wild chinchillas are no longer hunted for fur, but they are still bred for fashion use.

Let me officially say the I think Imai is full of sh*t. I have leather, but at least I’m not trying to justify it through some marketing gimmick.

Victoria Beckham will appear in the worldwide advertising campaign for Emporio Armani Women’s Underwear. The Beckham ads where shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggot and will premier for the Spring/Summer 2009 season.

“Who better than Victoria Beckham to launch our new global Emporio Armani underwear campaign?” Giorgio Armani said. “Victoria is a style icon, a dynamic lady whose influence and recognition will add great excitement to the continued international growth of our Emporio Armani women’s underwear business.”

The Beckhams are no strangers to Armani. David has already modeled for Emporio Armani Men’s Underwear.

Obviously, Beckham looks good, but the pose is very Gay Porno.

There has been a lot of skepticism when it comes to whether or not the 15 year-old Miley Cyrus should be dating 20 year-old Justin Gaston. Miley’s parents have approved of the relationship, so what is there to disapprove of?

I hate to sound too cynical, but you know poor Miley is completely in love with Gaston, while Gaston is most likely out there “playing the field.” When I say “playing the field,” I do mean S-E-X. I personally believe that Gaston hasn’t committed statutory rape. For those of you who do not watch Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, statutory rape is what it would be called if Gaston (20-years old) had a sexual encounter with someone under the age of consent, which is 18-years old. By the way, that’s not me being cynical, it’s just a fact of what statutory rape is. So, if Gaston is not having sex with Cyrus, I am willing to bet a billion dollars that he’s having sex with someone else. Come on, that’s what 20-year old underwear models and singers do.

As far as true female role models are concerned (a.k.a. those I would want my future daughter to take after), we can rule out Disney alums such as Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Lindsay Lohan, Hilary Duff, and now Miley Cyrus.

Okay Selena Gomez, my future kids have a lot riding on you. Oh Christy Carlson Romano, we miss you! Well, she’s now having sex on stage, but since it’s her puppet alter ego, we’ll let it slide. (FYI Christy Carlon Romano stars in the Broadway Hit “Avenue Q,” which is all acted out with puppets)
