Access Hollywood put together their Hottest Stars Under 25 list. Some no name, I think someone called Megan Fox, came in at #1. We find this list totally biased because we here at T.I.L. Darling know that Shia Labeouf is the one to look out for. Okay, so obviously I am biased. I guess most people heard of Shia when Transformers came out a couple of years ago.
I’m not quite sure what this says about me, but I was watching Shia LaBeouf when he was a rising Disney Channel star. Actually, he technically was a rising star under a super great actress called Christy Carlson Romano. Both of them starred in a Disney Channel show called “Even Stevens,” where they portrayed siblings. I really like the show. It was fun, innocent, and funny. Kind of like the Hilary Duff’s Disney show before all she got all the attitude that comes with youth and stardom. Sorry to go off on a tandem, but the reason Hilary Duff’s Lizzy McGuire Movie bombed is because everyone knew she didn’t care about it and they completely killed what made the show great, the relationships she had with Miranda and Gordo. The last show of the series was Gordo and Lizzy getting together, which had been building up for the entire series. But what happens, Gordo is not a traditional leading man so they pair Lizzy McGuire with some European rock star. WE LOVE YOU GORDO!!!
Okay, focus, focus, focus. Anyway, I have pretty much seen all of Shia LaBeouf’s movies, even the crappy Holes and the one he did for Matt Damon’s and Ben Afflecks Project Greenlight. Honestly, I thought those two movies would kill his career. They just really aren’t very good. Then he did Transformers. I’m really a geek at heart, like Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, World of Warcraft geek, and so anyone starring in a Transformers movies was going to be catapulted on my list. Of course, he was in the new Indiana Jones movie and he can now be seen in Eagle Eye. I have not seen Eagle Eye, but I’m sure it rocks. Don’t worry, I’ll write a whole new post once I see it.
Shia, you and I both know who’s Number 1.
Well, I don’t know who Edie Rose is, but I do know that O.C.’s Rachel Bilson has just launched a new line with DKNY. People are rightly skeptical about celebrity designers, but I think Rachel Bilson has really hit this season’s Rocker trend right on. What’s really great is that it’s going to be priced at around $20-$50. T.I.L. Darling Clothing Boutique can’t wait to get back up and running. The beginning of the season is always exciting for me.
But this song is still rockin’ in our opinion. We have absolutely no associations with www.blackcabsessions.com, but that site is incredibly awesome for the indie rocker or, as one of our good friends would say, hipster music.
I actually do not know what EMO really means, but here is someone who put the whole “EMO” movement into the forefront. His name is Jeremy Enigk. He was the lead singer of a group called Sunny Day Real Estate from Seattle, Washington. They were signed to the now famous Sub Pop record label. Despite the fact that most of you haven’t heard of them, they appeared on The Jon Stewart Show (not the Daily Show) and taped a couple of songs for MTV’s 120 Minutes (you know, when MTV actually had music).
Well, Enigk all of a sudden became a reborn Christian and quit the band. I guess he had a little too much of the rock n’ roll lifestyle. So, here we are now. Do we call this Christian Rock because he’s a devout Christian??? I don’t really know, but this is a great song. If you do not like it, then I would seriously look yourself in the mirror and question your “EMO”ness.
I have to say that I am actually more interested in the behind the scenes of the fashion industry than really just watching the fancy catwalks. Here is an interview with Betsey Johnson. If you are an aspiring fashion designer or just interested in the fashion industry, this is a must see.
